Job Description

  • Reviewing and analyzing product demand and managing replenishment for our company owned stores
  • Maintain purchasing documents
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Evaluate the needs of end users; compiles information; gather bid specifications, bidding of equipment , goods and services
  • Issues purchase orders, revised pricing and purchasing information
  • Reviews blanket purchase orders for new fiscal year and records purchase requisitions
  • Reviews records to verify delivery and receipt of goods, resolves problems, reorders, and updates billing and account information with vendors
  • Ensures compliance with bid specifications and contractual requirement; initiates the Return Material Authorization (RMA) for unwanted, damage, surplus shipments
  • Review, retrieve and modify data
  • Communicates with supervisors, multiple departments, end users and vendors
  • Participates in weekly, year-end, and in some cases daily inventory and development of purchasing policies and procedures
  • Maintains various purchasing documents, requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, bid specifications and vendor files, vendor catalogs and lists of supply sources
  • Fullfils certain orders personally by going to stores such as Restauant Depot, local markets, etc.
  • Stays witthin buying budget without creating out of stocks

Requirements

 
  • Minimum of 1 year of Buyer/Procurement Specialist/Purchasing or Kitchen Management experience in a high volume purchasing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial, analytical and audit skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and works well under pressure
  • Candidate must be motivated with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
