Datz Restaurant Group in Tampa Bay (Datz, Dough and Roux) is a group of nationally acclaimed upscale casual dining destination. 

 Datz is a one of a kind independant restaurant is located in Palma Ceia on MacDill close to Bay to Bay and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.  The menu features elevated American comfort food with a bit of edge to it such as oversized burgers, giant piles of red velvet pancakes and the Travel Channel featured mac and cheese stuffed meatloaf.  Local and artisanal items are plentiful. There are 36 craft beers on tap, an eclectic mix of wines and the finest spirits available. 

Dough is the candy-coated sister to the iconic Tampa restaurant Datz. This sugar-scented heaven is producing Tampa's most swoon worthy sweets. 

Roux is the story where New Orleans meets South Tampa. Roux courts its guests with distinctly elegant, yet approachable surroundings and a menu that is both inventive and down to earth.

  • The Pastry Chef  or Baker is responsible for high quality food production and innovative presentation flawlessly executed
  • Manages the kitchen/shift efficiently and productively at all times
  • Will prepare all bakery items following written recipes, including measuring ingredients and cutting pastry products
  • Will also decorate and finish cooked cakes, pies and pastries
  • Must promote superior customer service, along with maintaining a clean and sanitary work area throughout the entire shift, complying with all sanitation and health codes
  • Responsible for maintaining consistency and quality for all food items in respective areas, ensure menu development timelines are met, and achieve budgetary, food quality and customer service expectations
  • Assist in the development of new recipes for current and new products, assist in ordering all raw materials needed to maintain production of required volume, minimize waste and inspect all raw materials to meet established standards of quality
  • Maintain the kitchen and its equipment in clean, sanitary and fully operable condition
  • Assist in the implementation of established safety policies and procedures, recommend changes, including hiring, promotion, demotion and release of personnel, and recommend wage and salary adjustments for personnel within established limits
  • Committed to employee development, coaching and training


  • Graduation from a culinary institute or technical college with a degree/certificate in pastry or baking
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker (High production.  Hotels.  Etc.)
  • Experience in menu development highly desirable
  • Cake and pastry decoration or baking experience required
  • One year supervisory experience preferred for a management position if applying for management
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs.
